Post a suggestion :)

Hey hey :)

When I had to buy my first car my dad had suggested the peugeot as one of the potential cars I could choose from. Being interested in it I had read through reviews and prices and all and had thought it was a pretty good looking car for a student such as myself. But soon the peugeot wasn’t an option because of things such as the fact that parts are difficult to get hold of when things go wrong mechanically with it and so on.

So I was reading through your peugeot reviews and I thought it would be helpful to a reader like me who knows nothing about cars and is looking for one to buy to include maybe a buyer’s pros and cons too? maybe including the price range of the cars and what value you get for money? Also including problems for Peugeot in South Africa in terms of repair and parts and stuff?

I dunno, just a suggestion, but those are the things I missed out on in all the other reviews I looked at when trying to find a car :)

Hope it helps!

Personally, i think a comprehensive buyers guide for students / first time buyers is a great idea…
dealing with realistic matters, such as the above mentioned as well as things like longevity of the car’s components…

i’ll give u an example, last week i had to replace my 2 front tyres on my car… Being a turbo-charged car, with soft compound tyres & me driving it relatively hard form time to time, but not unreasonably, i only got 17800km out of them(i found out the life expectancy is roughly 15000km – 20000km if u drive hard) , and it cost me R4300.00 to replace… an unexpected cost… now had i known that from the start it may have changed my opinion of the car some what when considering buying it, or atleast put the idea in my head that i would have to budget for this expense alot earlier than anticipated…
and a last bit of useless info, the wiper blades on a mini cooper s r56 are also shit, have had to replace them after 17months…

Great Website guys! Keep it up!

Currently drive an R56 Mini Cooper S, love it to bits, it’s like a turbo-charged go-kart for boys that don’t wanna grow up!

For me a car is about Driving Pleasure & Performance vs Design!

Thanks very much for the suggestions guys.
We will look into adding a buyer’s guide to the site where we will add any such issues as you’ve already mentioned about the cars we test.
Also, we’ll attempt to make it possible for you guys to add your own experiences to the guide so everyone else can benefit from your knowledge.

Thanks guys. :)
