Ferrari 599 GTO

The fastest road going Ferrari ever produced will be revealed at the Beijing motor show soon. This V12 599 GTO set a record lap time at Ferrari’s test track of 1min 24seconds which is phenomenally quick.  Only 599 will be built and they are intended for Ferrari’s best clients.

 

The power behind the 599 GTO comes from a 6 litre, 65 degree V12 that produces 670 BHP at 8250RPM. Torque comes in at 620 NM’s at 6500RPM allowing a 0-100KM/H time of 3.3 seconds. This is mainly due to the car’s huge power to weight ratio as it only weights 1495KG’s giving it a power to weight ratio of 2.3KG’s/HP.  The 599 GTO will accelerate all the way to its top speed of 335KM/H. One of the reasons for this performance is the reduction of fluid resistance in the motor and a redesigned crankshaft allowing for the motor to Rev up more freely.
